Championship and Consolation Game Highlights
Championship Game
Indiana 21 vs. Oregon 12:  When teams play each other as many times as the pee-wee division plays each other it is hard to beat the same team 3 times.  And that is what IU was trying to do this past Saturday as they faced The Ducks for a third time.  The first two times IU was able to pull away and win.  Plus the Ducks had one of their best players missing.  IU was able to score the first two times they had the ball and stop the Ducks everytime they got the ball.  But right before half Oregon was able to put up a score by an incredible run by Kaeden Wilson to put The Ducks on the board with 17 seconds left in the half.  Not to be out done Dakota Yates had a great run of his own to end the half with the score 21-6.  Oregon won the battle in the second half as they put up the only score of the half.  Both teams played great with a lot of big hits and fun plays.  The parents were great as they both cheered hard for their team.  Once again this was a great season and IU played great and stepped up each and every week.  I am proud of these boys and hope I will be able to coach them again in the future.

Consolation Game
Georgia 26 vs. Butler 8:  Cam VanDerGoore ran for 2 scores, and Dalton James and Owen West also hit paydirt, as the Georgia Bulldogs closed out their 2011 season by defeating a scrappy Butler Bulldog team, 26 to 8.  Georgia struck quickly, scoring on a long TD run on the opening play of the game, and never looked back.  The Bulldogs received great blocking all day long from their offensive line, led by Evan Elgan, Gabe Plummer and Aiden Borowicz.  Defensively, Brandon Woodard shined, recording an interception and several tackles.  Collin Griffith, starting for the first time all season, was also a key contributor.  Butler hung tough all afternoon, and benefitted from great outings from Garrett Osborne and Dalton Mendenhall.  Great game by both teams!
